‘Wight 365 Days'
Movie Art Installation.
This is Part One (of four - See movie below).
A 'taster' of an on going movie of video clips for every day in a year of the Isle of Wight, an island off the south coast of England. Part one (of four) shows clips from 1st January to 30th June. Showing on Vimeo is the October 2018 version, there is also an updated July 2019 version available from ClayClay (49 minutes) A modified 2021 is in production. Parts two to four are also available to cover rest of year. This movie art installation will never be complete as new video and movie clips as well as photographs from the last 120 years will be added. This movie is always changing. Some clips are from video streaming sites, some from home movies, some from movies made on the Isle of Wight over the years. Some clips from Ventnor Heritage Centre. Some clips are rather fuzzy and shaky but that's the nature of old footage. Some clips are just plain embarrassing and politically incorrect (with some artistic saucy nudity), but again, that's the nature of our great 120 year film industry. Music is composed, performed and produced by Isle of Wight based The Espada Rolls Band taken from their ‘Gloribinas Tract Muzak’ album released May 2019 onto all major audio streaming sites such as Spotify and Apple Music. Search on ‘Gloribinas’ to find. Editing of images by brick maker Tim Bristow. Produced by Video Artist BB Bango (who has published over 220 original 'saucy' music and satire videos on Vimeo - attracting over 5 million views). The intention is that this changing movie like 'The Clock' by Christian Marclay (at Tate Modern), is an expanding movie that helps promote, to the world, the Isle of Wight as a fantastic, quirky, edgy and warm holiday destination all year round!
